Pricing Information

The tab below shows the pricing of DesignSmart and several of the optional add-on modules.  Pricing for many of the add-on modules are based on several factors making it impossible to provide pricing.

Note 1: A minimum of two DesignSmart licenses are required for the initial purchase.

Note 2: For firms with three or more users, the average cost for DesignSmartover over four years, including support and upgrades, is $30.00 - $45.00 per user per month.

  • DesignSmart Licenses

    • $789.00 per license
    • Includes license of FileMaker Pro (MSRP $329.00)
    • Includes 1 year technical support
    • Includes 1 year upgrades for non-customized versions of DesignSmart
  • QuickBooks Connector

    QuickBooks Connector for QuickBooks Pro: $899.00
    QuickBooks Connector for QuickBooks Enterprise: Call

    All DesignSmart users can create invoices and purchase orders. Usually only the bookkeeping staff who have QuickBooks installed on their computers require a license of QuickBooks Connector.

    Pricing for QuickBooks Connector for QuickBooks Enterprise,  SmartPOS and SmartInventory varies.

    1. This price does not include the cost of QuickBooks.
    2. This add-on requires: QuickBooks Pro, QuickBooks Premier or QuickBooks Enterprise from 2013 or newer.
    3. We love Macs so we regret that for technical reasons the QuickBooks Connector module does not work with the Mac version of QuickBooks.
  • PresentSmart for iPad

    One time license fee of $349.00 per license.
  • SmartHospitality

    Per license one time fee: $250.00

    This module is recommended only for firms that do complex hospitality projects.
  • Hosting

    It is necessary that the DesignSmart database files be stored on a computer that is running the "FileMaker Server" software. Clients can chose from two hosting options:

    Option 1 = Most clients with fewer than 5 user licenses have The Smart Designer host their files on our professional grade cloud based servers. Hosting plans start as low as $39.00 per month.

    Option 2 = Clients can purchase FileMaker Server and host the files on their own server. 

  • Training

    Three hours of training via the Internet is provided at a reduced hourly rate of $50.00 per hour.
  • Technical Support and Software Upgrades

    Technical support and FileMaker software upgrades are provided the first year at no additional charge. After the first year, customers can purchase a maintenance plan that includes technical support and upgrades.
