Technical Support Hourly Rates

Clients who have purchased an annual support agreement or have purchased the software within 12 months will receive the following products and services:

  • Assistance resolving general technical support issues related to DesignSmart
  • Assistance with QuickBooks Connector related issues
  • Updates of FileMaker software

Occasionally there will be services that are needed that are not covered under the annual support agreement. Examples:

  1. Custom modifications
  2. Development of additional reports
  3. When clients make changes to their reports and we are required to put them back in working order
  4. When clients delete data and we are required to restore data from a backup; and/or when we are required to manipulate the data so it is correct
  5. Reinstalling server software on a new server
  6. Resolving any issues that may have been caused by a virus
  7. If FileMaker Pro, or third party software provided by The Smart Designer, causes a problem that requires that a work around be developed (this happens very infrequently)

In these cases clients will have two options:

Option 1 = Prepay for 3 or more hours of support or customization services

  • Hourly rate: $115.00
  • Billable in 15 minute increments
  • Required to purchase a minimum of 3 hours
  • Firms will be emailed a weekly report showing usage and balance
  • Only requires email approval. Firm will be billed for the hours.

OR

 Option 2 = Single Support Incident Payment

  • Hourly rate: $135.00
  • Billable in 15 minutes increments
  • One hour minimum
  • Credit card number required in advance


Clients who do not have annual support agreements can purchase single incident support as follows:

  • Hourly rate: $150.00
  • Billable in 15 minutes increments
  • One hour minimum
  • Credit card number required in advance
